Germany’s best Ice Hockey performance in 42 years! | Day 12 | Winter Olympics 2018 | PyeongChang


The Quarter-Final in the men’s Ice Hockey tournament between Sweden and Germany at the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang turned in Germany’s way after 13 minutes when Christian Erhoffs long shot beat Fasth in the Swedish goal, followed by another goal from Marcel Noebles.

But the Swedish came back and Anton Lander and Dominik Kahun restored the German lead. Patrick Herley’s shot to made it 3-2. Another two minutes later, another goal. This time delight for Sweden as Mikael Wikstrand equilised, so it was overtime.

After 90 seconds into the extra period, Germany’s Patrick Reimer cut inside and slid the puck into the net and the games was over. Germany acheived their best Olympic performance for 42 years and will play against Canada in the Semi-Final. Final score, Sweden 3, Germany 4.
